Journal Article
For this assignment, you will select an article from the Journal of Organizational Behavior. You can find this journal through the Ashworth Library in ProQuest. The link is located in the Course Introduction on the Library page.
You will write a 500-750 word review of the article. Your article needs to discuss or investigate one or more aspects of organizational behavior as it relates to your Final Project topic; it does not need to be comprehensive. The article should be one written within the last decade, unless you have prior approval from your professor.
In your article review, complete the following tasks.
- At the top of the page, cite the article’s source using APA style.
- Then, answer these four questions, in one paragraph each:
- What did you learn?
- What surprised you?
- What do you want to learn more about?
- How might you apply what you learned to your Final Project in this course?
Note: If you cannot find a relevant article in Journal of Organizational Behavior, these other journals are also acceptable. Before selecting an alternative journal, please contact your instructor for approval.

Step 1: Choose and Access Your Article

Go to the Ashworth Library → ProQuest Database.

Search for an article in the Journal of Organizational Behavior (or one of the approved alternatives if necessary).

Make sure the article is published within the last 10 years.

Select an article that connects with your Final Project topic (e.g., leadership, motivation, teamwork, communication).

Step 2: Read and Annotate

Read the article carefully, highlighting main ideas, evidence, and conclusions.

Take notes on:

Key findings.
-
Surprising or unexpected elements.

Gaps or questions you still have.

How it connects to your Final Project.

Step 3: Set Up Your Paper

Use the provided template.

At the very top, include a full APA citation of your article (Author, Year, Title, Journal, Volume, Issue, Pages, DOI/URL).

Step 4: Write Your Four Required Paragraphs (500–750 words total)
Each question gets its own paragraph:

Summarize the key takeaways from the article.

Focus on theories, models, or findings related to organizational behavior.

Discuss unexpected results, challenges to assumptions, or new perspectives.

Step 5: Revise and Finalize

Proofread for grammar, clarity, and APA formatting.

Ensure the paper length is 500–750 words.
